So long.
Probably only my 6 followers will see this, but I just wanted to let you 6 know that I am leaving the blog world. Not sure if it's forever or just for a while. I joined the blog world, because I loved the idea sharing, and the great comradery involved. The inspiration people receive from one another in this little corner of the world is, well, inspiring! I love that people feel free to share ideas AND give others credit when they get a great idea. I, however, have learned the hard way, that not everyone is so generous. I got burned pretty badly by a well-known blogger. I had made comments on her blog, and she visited mine and commented in return. Not too long ago, she used an idea taken straight from my blog, and it created a blog frenzy! Now, I see others using the idea, and everyone is giving her credit and calling her a genius. It has all just left a bad taste in my mouth. Instead of mentioning my little blog and giving me a little traffic, she instead just took the idea and used it as her own. SAD. Sad that she is that desperate. Now I wonder how many other ideas she has stolen from little, low-traffic, unknown bloggers like me. I will still be reading blogs, and may share again one day, but for now I am licking my wounds. Just wanted to let you all know what happened to me.

I've just stumbled upon your blog today, oddly enough, but wanted to say how sorry I am that people like that exist and how horrible it is that she has ruined blogging for you. I hope that you come back and don't leave the blog world forever because I love what I see on your blog with all your lovely pics and ideas. :)

ReplyDeleteI hate to hear that this happened to you but I REALLY hate to hear that you are leaving. I found your blog just recently and I love your ideas. I also married my HS sweetheart 10 years ago and we have one son. I hope you will reconsider and not leave or come back soon. I am trying to learn to decorate my home and love your style.
ReplyDeletehey there, i just want to let you know that you leaving is silly. i am 1 of your six blog followers and i think that unless you did something wrong (and i don't know what you're talking about with the incident) that you should stand your ground. honestly, i went though a crappy time too when i took a hiatus from my blog, becuase of somebody that didn't matter, that took the internets appeal away. it was really rough. and it was nothing that i did wrong, that was the worst part... grrr makes me mad to this day. if you need a listening ear, if you need some "i understand you girlfriend..." just email me, and we'll chat, because nobody out there should deter you from keeping your life journel. i look look back on mine and smile. i look back and cry... anyway, you've got a friend in me, and my email is designgrrrl@gmail.com and i'd love to share my icky story with you if you need it, but most of all know you're not alone, and DON'T waste one good hearted minute you could be spending with your family worrying about this person who brought you DOWN. she or he will get theirs in the end. karma. :)
