New Powder Room Faucet

I love it! The old one was the builder-grade, boring faucet, that should have been replace YEARS ago! I have some plans for our powder room, that will begin coming together once school starts in a few weeks. I also can't take a before pic until the room is slightly more presentable! Ha!

The Coolest Toile Ever!

I'm a little late for the party, but better late than never! Pretty Organized Palace is hosting a Toile Party, and I couldn't resist being a part of it, since I am currently considering taking a toile decorating leap! So, along with the other bajillion decorating ideas in my head (front porch, kitchen cabinets, family room pillows), I have decided that I would love to wallpaper my powder room. And I want toile wallpaper, probably with beadboard around the bottom, but I don't know. My first thought was black and white, like this . . . . . . then I thought about green and white, then red and yellow! Then I stumbled across this website called Town Toiles, for a company that creates toiles based on major US cities. My husband and I honeymooned in San Francisco, so that one caught my eye first, but then I saw this one, and it made me suck in my breath--audibly!CHARLESTON TOILE!
Charleston is my favorite place! I am so drawn to this wallpaper, but I'm not sure if it's more that I love the idea behind it than I love the actual execution of the idea. This is the only color it comes in, which isn't impossible for me to work with, but . . . I will definitely have to let this idea percolate for a while before I do anything rash! It is an interesting idea! I think that I would have black accents. The mirror and light fixture are already black. There is also a cabinet over the toilet that is currently stained a light maple, but I am painting it when I put up wallpaper, either black or white. With white beadboard, would you paint the cabinet black, or white? Hmm?

Don't forget to visit the Pretty Organizer's Party! There are some great toile decorating ideas of all types!
