Since I gave in for Jacob's 4th birthday and did my first character party, the beast had now taken hold! Gavin LOVED Thomas and trains in general, so our little engineer got his wish for a Thomas party. I am not a huge fan of character parties, but I feel like the birthday should be what the child really wants, and Gavin really wanted Thomas! So, like Jacob's 4th, I had mixed the character stuff with some general theme stuff. Both of us were satisfied. My moments of genius on this party included a big train made out of posterboard to hang on our fence, a corn on the cob bar with different flavored butters, and a CD for each family of train songs. This turned out so cute! Of course, all our little guests took home a treat bag filled with train related goodies, including an engineer hat and a wooden train whistle. All aboard!
