So, this was the second place theme for my son's upcoming 4th birthday party! He loves anything John Deere. Since I couldn't completely let go of all the fun ideas floating around in my head, I decided to create this board to maybe inspire someone else looking for ideas for a farm theme. Or maybe there will be a farm party sometime in the future at our house! For now, we'll just leave it as "To Be Continued . . ." Enjoy!
I love the idea of a Corn-on-the-Cob Bar. We did one at Gavin's third birthday last year and it was a hit! Of course that was before I knew to take upclose pictures of party elements--thus no good pics of the bar! We served the corn with four different flavored butters: Lime Cilantro Butter, Herb Butter, Southwestern Butter, and I forget the last one! The Land o' Lakes and Martha Stewart websites have some great recipes for flavored butters. We served the butters on a Pampered Chef chilled tray, and they did great! Next time, I will also have some yummy bread nearby for spreading!

ReplyDeleteGreat board! I'm doing a 1st birthday farm theme in a few weeks, I like the idea of a corn on the cob bar, but apparently it's a choking hazard for the little ones, so I guess I'm going to have to save that. :)
